If the display on the Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop is broken or blown, you can perform a fairly easy procedure to replace it. Depending on which part of the display has failed, the degree of simplicity varie a little. If the outside of the display has been destroyed, you’ll just replace the entire assembly, which takes about 30 minutes; however, if it’s only the screen, you’ll have to remove it from the assembly, which adds 10 or 15 minutes of turning screws and pulling at cables. Shut down the system and disconnect the power cord.

Strip the computer of all the peripheral components that are connected to it, including cables and removable media devices.

Remove the battery from the base of the computer.

Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the indentation at the far-right end of the hinge cover. Pry the hinge cover up and take it off the computer by lifting it from right to left.Extract the two screws at the top of the keyboard.FM Transmitter(iPhone FM Transmitters )

Lift the keyboard so you can access the flat cable that runs into the motherboard. Disconnect the cable and take the keyboard off the computer.Locate the Mini PCI card compartment at the top-right corner of the keyboard area. If a card is present in the compartment, disconnect the antenna cables that are attached to it and spread the clips on the sides of it. The Mini PCI card will pop up.

Pull the card straight out of its port.Extract the four screws that secure the display hinges to the computer.

Locate the display cable in the middle of the area where the hinge cover was located and extract the screw on the display cable. Disconnect the cable from the computer.Lift the display off the computer.USB WIRELESS LAN Adapter(WIRELESS USB LAN Adapter)

Remove the six rubber buffers on the display face and extract the screws that are exposed.Remove the display face from the back cover.Extract the eight screws from the sides of the display, starting with the screw labeled “1″ and moving on in order until you reach the one labeled “8.”

Disconnect the cables on the back of the screen and remove the screen from the back cover.Follow each step in reverse order with the new screen to assemble the computer and complete the replacement.
